We need an ENFORCER

if we want to contend and be an elite team that wins in the playoffs, we will need an enforcer

Blake "Mad Dog" Griffen is good and my favorite NBA super star, but home boy doesn't stand up for himself. He would get hammered and just walk away. Or he would flop. Need a brotha who shows everyone was sup and not to mess with us. We need someone from the old days like Maurice Lucas, Charles Oakley, Rick Mahorn. Whenever someone goes in the paint, they will get punished.

Mad Dog just likes to have fancy alley oops and pop long range jumpers but we have a clear void.

Thoughts fellas?

there will only even be one “mad dog”

and I’m not sure you want to compare blake to him

I like it that Mad Dog just ups and walks away. I do remember the Lucas, Mahorns, Oakleys and Laimbeers however this ain’t hockey.

I had to do this...

timkempton: “You’re Mad Dog Griffen!”
Blake Griffin: "Mad Dog? I hate that name. I hate it. You hear? Nobody calls me “Mad Dog”, especially not some duded-up, egg-suckin’ gutter trash."

In all seriousness...

I’ve always wanted us to have a player that could and would stand up for our stars. In the past, we’ve had Baron and Craig stand up for Blake and our youngsters, but they can only do so much given that they were important pieces to the team. I constantly read from opposing fans that Blake is a “fake tough guy” for trying to get into other players’ faces. He doesn’t want them to think that a hard foul or unnecessary roughness is going to fly with him, but he can’t really “make a statement” if he expects to continue playing (and not be ejected or suspended).

So, we need someone that is completely a non-factor in our ability to win games to be that guy. If the Lakers lose McRoberts, Artest/Barnes, they’re not really missing anything. If Blake or DJ get kicked out, we’re in huge trouble. We have Reggie, but who rebounds if he’s not in the game (and either Blake and DJ are on the bench)?

that's not fair

To compare us to the Lakers, we don’t have the luxury of having a team full of non-factors like they do.

That's why we needed Mbenga rather than Jones.

He also has the best shooting style up to date, it is always changing so the other team won’t know what to do!

hey

“Mad Dog” is a compliment. Means Blake is tenacious, ferocious and unrelenting. Blake is one of my favorite players and I think the name fits him.

Heed my words, come playoff time when the game becomes more of a half court set, we will be sorry we didn’t have an enforcer.

here is a vid of Mad Dog getting bullied by Andre Miller . If we had Mahorn on the team, no one would do that

since some of you guys don't like the nickname Mad Dog, i will refer to him as Raging Bull from now on

Here is our “Raging Bull” getting punked by Eddie House

Last year, we had Baron Davis watching his back. I love Baron. Guy is a true leader in my book and a Clipper great
