Once again, JR Smith Family Fights with Chinese Fans
Trouble just seems to follow JR around. Given his past indiscrections, do we really want to pursue this guy?

from my sources (ha!)
NO wants nothing to do with him…Smith is the (only) one saying when he comes back he wants to be a Clipper…damn even he’s bandwagoning
Chandler is better, but out of reach and not as needed….bring on K-Mart!
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
It's a big mistake if the Clips don't consider him
Now if CP3 and Billups say he’s not worth the trouble its one thing. But he’s a talented player within the Clippers price range that fills a position of dire need.
JR Smith is better than Wilson Chandler by the way and cheaper.
As far as the family/gf fighting, it could be a cultural/race/language thing. To my knowledge his family has never gotten into trouble in the NBA before. Most of JR’s off the court issue seem to be his bad driving record and also the vehicular manslaughter charge he got back in 2007.

I would LOVE it if JR Smith took all of Randy's minutes.
All Randy does is shoot, so does Smith, but at least he makes them. CC, I’m not sure, how is JR on defense? It’s been a while since I really watched him.
Having said that, Wilson Chandler I feel is the more complete player, and he’d be great backing up Billups and Caron, but there is no way we can afford what he will command.
I touched on this in my Kaman Fan Post, but isn’t it possible, nay probable, that Stephanie Smith is doing this on purpose? Like Patty Mills, JR Smith already tried to fake an injury, so why not unleash his sister to get him kicked off the team?
And how stupid are some of these players and the guys advising then. K-Mart, Smith, and Chandler all signed for chump change days/weeks before the lock-out ended.
Morons, business wise.

JR's defense is alright
he’s not a stopper but he can play D. He’s also a threat on offense which means the other team has to defend him thus wearing out his defender.
It’s possible his family/gf are doing this to make his team release him. To my knowledge he still can’t play until his CBA team is out of the playoffs (Kenyon can come back on Feb. 15th because his former team won’t be in the playoffs).
Contract wise it depends, the season did come pretty close to being cancelled. And for Martin and Smith they probably wouldn’t have made radically more in the NBA than CBA. Chandler on the other hand is a RFA so he could be getting a big contract when he comes back.

Smith better than Wilson Chandler?
I don’t agree with that. Although I haven’t watched too much of either, I always thought the opposite. Any glaring issue with Chandler you see?
Weaknesses?
No, Chandler is a solid SF. Doesn’t create for others but is a solid defender, decent scorer with good rebounding. But Smith has better numbers.
Last year’s numbers:
Chandler per 36 – 16.5 pts, 6.1 rebs, 1.8 ast, 45% fg, 35% 3pt, 53.7% TS
Smith per 36 – 17.7 pts, 5.9 rebs, 3.2 ast, 44.6%, 39% 3pt, 55% TS
So Smith’s the slightly better 3pt shooter, slightly more efficient scorer, better playmaker. Once you factor in the price, availability etc. its no contest regarding on the court performance.

Man, his girlfriend is as tatted up as he is
Remembers when you could buy a nosebleed ticket at the Sports Arena and end up courtside.
I think she has way more than him!

could we sit them next to Clipper Darryl and unleash them when he starts the wave at the wrong moments?
they would make for some entertaining moments when we are blowing out teams. Plus, we wouldn’t need any more enforcers with those girls.
I'd still tai him.
Having Smith coming off the bench with Williams would drastically improve this team.
