Griffin Dunk on Perkins

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iulu0tFNLx0&feature=player_embedded

Wow. Was that the best dunk by Griffin. The dunk on Mozgov last year was awesome but this dunk was unbelievable. What does the nation think. Is this Griffins best dunk ever? They are going to be talking about this dunk all year. Just when I think Griffin can't do any better who goes and does this. If you don't think Griffin is not the most exciting player in the NBA you have to be crazy. Forget is this Griffins best dunk, is this the best dunk you ever seen?

Still think the Mozgov dunk was sick...er

Dude got teabagged. Plus Blake just threw the ball through the hoop. It was FOUL.

Nah that dunk was great but his hands never hit the rim on that one

this one he actually got his fingers on the rim while being by a far superior defender. The Mozgov dunk may be the more significant one as it launched Blake Griffin’s name into the stratosphere but the Perkins dunk is more impressive.

Wow...thats all I can say.....

Mozgov or Perkins, Mozgov or Perkins…… I’ll take both of them…. Thank you Blake

cant wait until they put out the new picture of blake dunking on perkins…..

The Perkins dunk surpasses Mozgov.

Blake got the rim, so that officially makes it a dunk for those that nit pick. It also showed off Blake’s strength against a big and strong Perkins. Epic dunk.

He also caught the ball after it went through

I don’t really know how the physics of that works, but somehow that was impressive to me, hahah

yes I also found that funny

Lets review. Blake went rookie-over-rookie vs. Mosgov. But that's Kendrick Perkeins.

Who shoved Blake at the beginning of his jump hard enough that Blake actually could only go straight up to dunk it. While he was still 4 or 5 ft from the rim. Cocked it back. Threw it over him. Held Perkins back. Touched the rim this time to make it a literal dunk. As Perkins moved from in the way to out of the way. And one. Wonder which was better.

Sickest dunk of all time

I remember seeing it when it happened of TV. I hope Blake’s jumper improves enough for him to have a career as long as VC when his hops go away. Watching VC’s game now, he hardly ever dunks at all.

I remember watching that

The only thing that could have made it better is if Vince Carter had actually connected on the punch to KG and knocked him out.

that would only have pumped KG up more #barfight

THIS WAS A BAR FIGHT!

I suppose that was infinitely better than, “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!”

KG is such a dork

I find it amazing that he had the gall to call Charlie Villenueva a “cancer patient”.

Have you seen what KG looks like lately? Mmmhmm

who didn't?

i bet if Perkins mom had a twitter it would have said something like this…..

“oh my poor boy, at least now his name has become popular. thank you blake griffin!”

Yea saw that too

I know we had to trade him, but I still wish we did not have to. He deserved to be on the ride with the rest of us. He and DJ were the first ones here and gave us some hope amidst that terrible 19-63 season.

Sorry, I’m being sentimental… but dude was my favorite Clipper ever.

The Perkins dunk was a display of freaky, raw athleticism

I think it was the better of the two.

The "Mozgov" was maybe just very slightly less impressive BUT

it has a follow up moment that was one of my fav from last season (the Amare nod!)

Bingo! Oh me oh my!

by ClippersUK on Jan 31, 2012 9:26 AM PST reply actions

yes the Amar'e nod was nice

but what about Twitter/Facebook/all the social media around the whole world going crazy?

its nice to get appreciation from a fellow big man dunker….but Blakes dunk was INSTANTLY a global sensation. it was so epic it might have to be a trivia question on an elementary school us history class for years to come

literally less that 30 min after the play…i checked youtube and it was already up

I would actually rate Griffins dunks in the following order:

1A. Perkins
1B. Gallinari
3. Mozgov

by ap3604 on Jan 31, 2012 9:35 AM PST reply actions

Perkins was more impressive

But Mozgov was more humiliating, since Timofey got a faceful of Blake’s manhood.

Proudly enduring the pain since the days of Bill Walton's foot.

Haters are saying Lebron's dunk on a 5'10" John Lucas, ducking even was more impressive than Blake's dunk.

John Lucas had his back to Lebron and ducked when Lebron went over him. Blake had to jump high and power through Perkins..much more impressive.

by tenkaistar on Jan 31, 2012 11:21 AM PST reply actions

Even Lebron admits Griffins was better

Dunk of the Year!! @blakegriffin just dunked on Kendrick Perkins so hard!! Wow!! I guess I’m #2 now. Move over #6

My all-time fav dunk

is still probably MJ’ s baseline dunk over Ewing.

there should be a support group ...

members would include:

anthony tolliver
timofey mozgof
danillo gallanari

and newest member:
kendrick perkins

that's basically a list of the most popular NBA players (right below Blake of course)

cause after blake dunks on them…they become household names

soon the NBA store will start selling jersey with those guys on their team on the back…and the back of Blakes Clipper uni on the front…because that is all you see

Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."

by KidJustin on Jan 31, 2012 11:45 PM PST up reply actions

yeah especially mozgof..

because without that dunk…i would have NO idea who that is

by nauticazn25 on Feb 1, 2012 12:09 AM PST up reply actions

So do we still use "mozgov'ed or is now perkin'ed?

Or can we use both depending on the degree of severity?

by tenkaistar on Feb 1, 2012 1:21 AM PST reply actions

if Blake taunts him first...like brushing his hair...then Mozgov'ed

if Blake just completely destroys him not matter how hard he trys to stop Blake…then perkin’ed

if anything else, we will have a new name for it once it happens depending on who it happens to first

one of the best dunks I have ever seen in a game

people who complain (mostly haters out there who comment on ESPN or Yahoo) that it wasn’t a dunk, was an offensive foul, or was unimpressive obviously never played a game of basketball, or if they did, they never jumped high enough to even touch the net.

That was a grown-up man’s dunk.

No, it's the Clip Show!
