Are you guys worried about Blake getting injured?

Blake "Raging Bull" is relentless when he attacks the basket. He has a lot of high flying jams and I am so happy that we are winning and beating VERY TEAMS regularly now. Almost a dream come true.

But every game, I always kinda worry and feel that any minute now, Blake will get injured due to this ferocious style of basketball. When the Bull tries to jump over people like that, eventually he will land awkwardly.

You look at the other high flyers in the league now or before like Vince Carter, Antonio Mcdyss, they seem to have a higher chance of getting injured than the typical player.

So when I see those monster jams, I get excited but I do worry too. I think the only thing that can hold our franchise back now is some unlucky injury

Nah, not worried about Blake "Mad Dog, Raging Bull, Rocky, Al Capone, Max Cady" Griffin

We’ve never been struck by bad injuries to star players before, why worry about it now………………………

As long as we keep beating the VERY TEAMS, we’ll be fine.

Bingo! Oh me oh my!

Hell Yes!

Fun watching him, but along the line he needs to stick to becoming Mailman 2.0 and learn that 2 points are 2 points. Not to say that he can’t exude some serious flash… but he needs to be careful

Last year, I was always worried.

Now that he’s coming off a season of playing all 82, I’m not so worried anymore.

just like how if Kobe keeps shooting all of his jumpshots he might land awkwardly and roll his ankle?

he better stop doing that just in case….

I remember someone said he had gotten banned from the NJ sit and that's why he was always trolling here.

Don’t know what’s what though.

He was banned by Nets blog for posting with no backup support on his posts.

Funny, I very seldom post on competitive blogs but the day after we played them a couple weeks ago I asked if they knew a blogger named Jadeed 2577, Jaydee2237 who was a Nets Fan who used to come to our site sounding like Napoleon Dynamite. They went into hysterics as they all knew who he was.

Clippers beat the top two teams in the Western Conference on back-to-back nights

One was a come-from-behind W while the other was a statement win. Huge declaration that the Clippers aren’t just a trick show of alley-oops, in my opinion. All that said, why are we talking about injury scenarios? I’m game for banter, but let’s not get into this hypothetical doomsday scenario with posts of gloom on the horizon. Our team is winning, in case you haven’t noticed. Let’s enjoy this.

Totally agree.

Can someone delete this post? These kind of posts just makes me mad. No, I’m not worried about Blake getting injured, I’m more worried about playing consistently well and winning.

Truth

I’m more worried about free throw %‘s. Let’s get at that instead.

Here's the problem with whole thing

Too many times, it’s a blocking foul when bigs just raise two hands to challenge a driving guard but it’s a charge when guards flop from post moves.

Too many times, it’s a reach-in foul when bigs strip the ball from guards but it’s a steal when guards slap the ball loose from bigs after they grab a rebound.

Too many times, it’s over-the-back if bigs out-rebounds the guards but it’s a hustle play if the guards shove and jump off of the bigs.

Too many times, it’s an illegal screen if the bigs even twitch a muscle while setting up a decent pick but it’s just tough physical play when guards dig their elbows and knees into the back of post players.

No, it's the Clip Show!

The opposite will happen if you are a minor.

He obviously has an infatuation with clocking a minor, so if you are under 18, then I’m sure he’ll be the one put in jail.

by SurfinQ00 on Feb 1, 2012 5:38 PM PST up reply actions

The same time you act your age.

It’s a weird coincidence. Or when you stop calling him “Raging Bull” or whatever absurd nickname you thought up for Paul

by SurfinQ00 on Feb 1, 2012 11:08 PM PST up reply actions

This itself absurd

it may be annoying, but to want to knock someone out just because of nicknames? Really? To be more exact, this isn’t even an offensive nickname, just a stupid one.

it's not the nickname

It’s the fact that he once threaten fisical violence to a minor if i recall correctly.

Oh man

did he threaten our own golden boy LJHanns? Well if you ask me, the boy deserves a beating or two.

Just kidding of course..

Nope.

We got into a debate, and yes I admit that I get into quite a few of those, and when I made valid points, he instantly threatened to break my jaw. He made it a point that his 6’4 40+ year old body is going to teach me a lesson. From then on out, I questioned his age for threatening a minor. Just some back story. If you would still like to defend him, by all means, go ahead. I just hope you know the whole story.

by SurfinQ00 on Feb 3, 2012 6:09 PM PST up reply actions

Oh trust me

I misread the beginning. I thought DTSSucks was saying he is going to beat the snot out of tim because of the ridiculous post, or something of that nature.

Anyway, carry on.

And yes I have seen you make quite a few arguments there Surfin. But I do like that you apologize when needed. Cheers bud’.

That's just something I learned :)

My argumentative nature is not always healthy, especially when I am only 17. Luckily, I learned how to apologize when I step too far or give in when I am completely off base. I’m not going to change no matter how hard I try.

Thanks Jack

A lot of jerks on here that don’t want to talk about basketball or Clippers and just wish to argue and belittle people

Very shameful to have these types of people as so called Clipper fans

This forum is suppose to be fun and for Clipper fans to “unite” as in Clipper NATION but some people are not only disrespectful to Clipper fans but the Clipper players/organizations as well. It is people like these that gave us bad karma all these years.

I hope they can see the light and change and we can just all focus on being Clipper fans and appreciating everything we have

You were the hero trying to threaten other Clips Nation citizens on Clips Nation Night!!

Way to go “Uniting” those fans TimmyBoy!

Nothing unites people like the threat of physical violence!

I would much rather read

ideas (as ridiculous as some may be, but some are ok) from people like timkempton on this blog than read a bunch of smart-ass comments from keyboard warriors (not that I have anything against anyone here).

No, it's the Clip Show!

Couldn't give a monkies what you would rather read

And sure, ideas are a good way to start debates and discussions here but threats are not.

i also wouldn't give a horse arse what you think

but I agree threats don’t belong in this blog and I certainly would no appreciate it if it was directed at me. But I thought his threats were over-blown but that’s just me.

No, it's the Clip Show!

by dan73962 on Feb 3, 2012 4:40 PM PST up reply actions

I fight for the sharing of ideas.

Don’t believe me? Look at my past argument with Boltsfan. But at the same time, I am more than willing to object what other fans say if they don’t hold validity. When I did that, he merely made up stats and threatened me.

by SurfinQ00 on Feb 3, 2012 6:11 PM PST up reply actions

I like to talk about basketball.

Most comments are intended to discuss basketball and the different ideas, but if you noticed, you are the one who stopped talking about basketball. I posted a message refuting some of the things you said and you jumped to violence. I did not find it fun when you threatened me, nor did I find it fun when you belittled me and call me the “tough guy behind the keyboard” when you were claiming things that you couldn’t back up. You are far from the ideal fan that you want, so don’t try to act as if I am worse than you. Look at your argument once again; you got offended when I made a counter argument and just forgot about basketball talk.

by SurfinQ00 on Feb 3, 2012 6:15 PM PST up reply actions

yes but..

every player gets hurt. A serious injury to any top 20 player would seriously derail his team’s postseason chances. Try not to get concern about it and just enjoy the game!

Worried

no, not more than for any player. He’s actually the 2nd most durable “key” Clipper behind DJ. CP3, Caron, Billups, Mo and Evans have missed far more games to mild injuries than Blake.

Help us Altered Beast you're our only hope.
