Saturday's game was the first time that the Bench outscored the Starters and this will not be the last time. By now other teams should have taken notice on how efficient this 2nd unit is/could be and must really be preparing on how to stop or at least slow them down. The Bulls started by double teaming JC in the 3rd quarter and they sort of reveal a weakness in our Bench. By doing this, the Bulls challenged Jamal either to continue his ISO play and shoot the ball under duress (which BTW he very often finishes miraculously!) otherwise give up the ball, take him out of the play thus slowing him down and limiting his scoring abilities. Jamal only scored 5 points in the second half as compared to his 17 points in the first half. Bledsoe and Barnes had to pick up the slack and even if they did, nevertheless slowed down our Bench. To discourage any double teaming in the future on JC, we need another scorer other than Bledsoe and Barnes and this could be Grant Hill or a resurrected LO. The sooner this happen the better.
