CBS is reporting that Clipper Public Address (PA) announcer David Courtney has passed away. He was 56 years old.
The Clippers said he died in Los Angeles, but gave no other details. Courtney had missed Wednesday night’s game against Minnesota because he was in the hospital awaiting an angiogram, according to his Twitter feed.
David also was the announcer for the Angels and the LA Kings. Given the NHL lockout in progress, he had been inactive.
