After last night's win, Clippers owner Donald Sterling and 10 of his friends visited the locker room. It was the first time he apparently met some of the new players.
According to Arash "I'm supposed to be a Clipper columnist but care more for the Lakers" Markazi, the following ensued:
It was the first time Sterling has entered the Clippers' locker room this season and the first time many of the new players on the team had even met him. As Jamal Crawford tied his shoes, Sterling walked up to him and said, "I love watching you shoot. When you shoot, everyone is quiet. I love it."
As Crawford shook his hand, Sterling said, "You're going to stay here forever, right? I love having you here. Thank you so much."
But it does not stop there, my fellow citizens.
Sterling even led the team in a "Hip, hip, hooray!" chant in the middle of the locker room that was as corny as it sounds and caused a couple of players to roll their eyes about it afterward.
Well, it does not stop there either per an article from USA Today:
He even grabbed the arm of coach Vinny Del Negro and raised it triumphantly into the air...
Say what you will but for now, Vinny is not going anywhere. Oh yeah, by the way, Sterling and Vinny embraced each other after Sterling asked him to give him a hug.
