Get Pau!
Now that it looks like Pau is going the way of Lamar, the Clips should consider making a trade with the cross court enemy. Getting Pau could put the Clips over the top by adding another scoring big and creating a new version of the twin towers (DJ and Paul). Length would no longer be an issue for this team. ESPN trade machine approves a trade of Bledsoe and K-Mart for Pau. Would the Lakers be tempted to dump salary with K-Mart's expiring to make a play for D-12 next year while getting a very promising point guard? Maybe the Clips could get Barnes as a throw in to help perimeter D. With Pau, there would be plenty of offense for this team without a scoring perimeter defender. After watching DJ get owned by Udoh last night, fail repeatedly to box out, and not being able to score from beyond three feet, banking on DJ to get the Clips to the promised land is probably wishful thinking. It would be interesting to see how Paul and CP3 handle things. Pau probably has something to prove against his old Laker team. Not sure if this would screw up the ability to re-sign Blake and Paul. If this could get done, I would gladly trade for a championship now by compromising the ability to resign later. As a fan since 1989, tomorrow never comes for Clipper fans. Now or never.....

This is a Laker-fan esque trade proposal

Audio Dope, I will gladly compare Clipper history notes with you any time any day.
Pop Quiz, what was the starting line up and sixth man for the 1989 Clips? Which two to players got seriously hurt that season, what was the nature of their injuries, and in which month did they get hurt?
he meant it was unrealistic
overvaluing our players.

Okay, pop quizzing people means nothing.
I find it funny when people ask all this Clipper trivia. For example: What is Clipper Darryl’s birthday? What is the Clipper-Strippers real name? How many shots did Tim Thomas make which hurt the Clippers? What word did Ralph Lawler say in 2004 on the 10th game right after Elton Brand made a shot? See, little trivia honestly doesn’t matter. We are all Clipper fans, there is no point in questioning the validity of someone’s true loyalty based on such little things. I just joined last year, but I have been a Clipper fan all my life. Why? Because I finally found the time to do so.
let me be very clear
this post is wrong.
ESPN trade machine is WRONG.
Kenyon is making 2.5 million this season, NOT the 16 mil that ESPN has him at. The clippers would have to include mo, foye, and Gomes to make salaries work.
not to mention that there’s no way the Lakers look at this deal

I think in order to make this trade fair the Lakers should throw in Bynum, too.
I've got nothing.

We should ask for Metta World Peace too!!

No point in me participating in the poll.
At the very least, the Lakers would also want Mo.
I'm not in it to be famous. I want to... be the best. -BG32
Mo would make them so damn good
He would be getting wide open shots all day every day of the week. Shots that Blake and Fisher miss constantly.
I think he shoots fine for his role.
But yeah, statistically, he isn’t great. But when you give him a wide open three, he won’t blink and eye and I think he has a great chance at knocking them down.
id be willing to trade him for...
gomes, cook, ebled, foye and leslie
Chances of this trade happening
.000000001% if the Lakers are feeling generous.
1. Why would the Lakers try to make someone they are competing for the division better?
2. The Lakers will find a better deal with one phone call to any other team.
Screw Pau, I hope he ends up with the Bobcats.
He wants to spew Clipper hate..so he’ll never be a Clipper. Period.
cmon man... seriously?? Kmart and Bled = Pau Gasol??
dumbest trade proposal i have ever seen.
Reggie Evans is a guy who tells the truth.
This is the dumbest trade idea I have ever seen.

When I saw the title I was thinking "This is seriously dumb"
When I saw the actual proposal I screamed out “WTF” and pulled all my hair out!

That didn't take long
only 2 months after CP3 the fan base has become completely insane.
Help us Altered Beast you're our only hope.
and to make matters worse...
“Only if Barnes were included” HAHAHA
also….the twin towers of DJ and Paul? last time i checked Chris Paul was 6 feet flat
and i’m not sure how Paul and CP3 would handle himself…
sooo assuming Paul is a typo fo Pau….does Blake play out of position at the SF spot or something? why would we play the best player out of position for a long period of time?

Get Pau?
Get lost.
Do not worry. (Matthew 6:27)
Got Gomes?
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
I like this
Even though Kobe is older he could be a good backup 2 guard.
I met my girlfriend through 800LoanMart but had to return her with interest.
he's injury prone though
and that contract….albatross?
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
You only have to pay him 1/2 of his contract
and mail the other 1/2 to Vanessa (Laker #12).

There hasn't been a significant trade between the Lakers and Clippers in almost 30 years
…and I don’t think it’ll happen anytime, even something half-baked as this “proposed trade”. If the Lakers actually would trade Pau (and it wouldn’t be surprised if it happen), I think Kobe would retire on the spot.
Hell, I would actually trade for Marc rather than Pau…just as fundamentally sound, but he’s younger and lesser softer than his older brother.
