Glad he's not doing it again. Nothing to prove.

oh man, i need to look back, but i know somewhere i called this...around the time the lockout ended.
That Blake would opt for rest AND that DJ would compete.

and over John Lucas III to shut up all the "LeBron's dunk is the best evvar" people

Isn't John Lucas like 5'10 either way?

This does not surprise me at all. One time is plenty.
It will be curious if DJ is asked as I have never seen him do anything other than a quick power dunk.

Or posterize people
we’re cheap, like to drink and are pissed off.
WHO WANTS A FREE SHARPIE?? -- Blake Griffin
He should block his own dunk
I don’t know how it’s possible, but at least he’d be taking his talents to the contest.

Vince carter has jad the best in game dunk in an NBA game....
Blake second, Jordan third, John Starks fourth.
Well if Javale can br competitive in a dunk contest , maybe DJ can’t be too far behind.

DJ is a bit more athletic than Javale....
Javale is more skilled and with more length.
Who wins out

Players are tired
The only players who I can see going in for this are ones from teams who are tanking it (such as McGee from the Wizards) or players trying to put themselves in the shop window a bit as they are borderline NBA players (can’t think of any current ones but Gerald Green) from previous.
I love the games and the 3pt comp but find the dunk comp a bit boring to be honest.
Bingo! Oh me oh my!

I wonder if Howard will get obligated into doing the dunk contest
I mean the game is in Orlando.

Great that he's not wasting his time and energy on the dunk contest.
The dunk contest was fun as a kid, but as I’ve grown and matured, it has lost it’s allure. The All Star game is all that really matters.
Can't believe your hating on the legendary 3-point shoot-out...
..and the phenomenal skills challenge. In which I think we will have both Mo (3pt contest) and Chris (skills).
…OH! and how can I forget H.O.R.S.E…. ok, I can forget that one.
