Kenyon Martin to be ready to play against Orlando
This is good news, Monday is a lot earlier than I thought he would be ready, regardless of China issues. We can definitely use him against Orlando against Dwight and Big Baby.

His jersey number is going to be #2.
DJ wouldn’t give him 6 and Foye wouldn’t let him have 4. 6-4 = 2. Looks like we’ll have to unretire Fred Jones’ old number. Also for Orlando, Big Baby will return from his team-imposed 2 game suspension.

I wonder if KMart is really ready to play
Not sure what kind of game shape he’s in, i bet Vinny eases him into the lineup, giving him very little minutes at first.
That is what likely will happen
Maybe 5 or 10 minutes in the first few games and then ease his way up from there.

KMart out of shape > Solomon Jones in shape
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
Wow, that is something isn't it
Wasn’t long ago when FElton got in, it was our first all-star for ages. Now, although 4 of them are all stars with previous teams, it’s great to have that leadership and experience.
Bingo! Oh me oh my!
didn't expect this.
Would be awesome, but still expect the League to intervene.
But wait...
Has the NBA officially signed off on this? Has the god Stern bestowed his blessing. Doesn’t that still have to happen?
It sounds like FIBA is saying
that China can’t force him not play, since they accepted his waiver. I can’t find a link to it but it doesn’t seem like China has any leverage.

But, as Steve pointed out yesterday, who cares about FIBA?
But David Stern might very well care about China and the future of the NBA market therein.
does the Chinese competion fall under FIBA?
if so that could change situation a bit. It hard to contest something if you abide by FIBA rules. If the Chinese competition, like the NBA, is independent from FIBA, that would be something else.
