Anyone think we should pursue Stephen Jackson?
Seems like Stephen Jackson has been relegated to the bench in Milwaukee. Maybe our front office can try to pick him up? He seems like the proud veteran type like KMart that will give more to a contender (like the Clippers) than a team that will likely not get very far in the forseeable future (like the Bucks). Seems to me he could be a better fit than JR Smith with his ability to knock down 3s and play some tough defense. Any opinions?

He's also a pretty good passer.
Has that ring w/ SAS/. But the main reason he’s on the bench he’s because he’s ALREADY demanding another extension. He’s a wackadoo.

His first comment was to tell you to shut up. Hahaha!
I don’t know why, but his name also reminds me of..

Unless he gets bought out by the Bucks
and then takes the minimum there’s no way he should becomes Clipper.

I like SJax
However, his contract does not expire this year either and it’s at $10 mill plus. I’m pretty sure the CLips aren’t interested in paying that.
Contracts aside, he’s a better fit than Childress.
Don’t think Fields is tradeable thanks to Jeremy Lin now revitizing the franchise.

Still shooting .500
Point is he finds a way to help, not just scoring.

I don't like how he loos, so NO!
Might as well sign Agent Zero

too expensive
what do you guys think about Jeremy Lin? He is only on a 10 day contract and if Knicks don’t pick him up, we can snatch him. he is pretty quick and can be a good backup PG. cheap solution and can get us 8 points and 4 assists off the bench
or if knicks keep him, we can get baron back as backup. i miss his lobs to Raging Bull
Clip Clip Hooray!
lol
Lin will not leave NY. He will be there through the season, and probably for a long time after.
Baron will never be a Clipper again, and it’s not like we really need a pg… the whole point of this is shooting guards. Lin/Baron just give us another undersized combo guard.
I don't see why we can't shift Butler to SG if needed
noted that people view Butler as more of a 3, but there shouldn’t be anything wrong with Butler playing the 2 as well if a good SF comes up.

IF a good SF comes up
basically we have the option to get a good SF or SG, thanks to Carons versatility.
his signing seems more and more like a good (yet overpriced) deal every day

Yeah
For the record, even before Caron Butler was signed, I always wanted Butler! ;)
Ahaha, anyway, I’d actually be very open to shiftintg Butler to SG. If that were the case, our “short” line up might actually turn pretty tall since Billups has been gone.

no thanks
He’s not a good player without the ball in his hands. Even with the ball in his hands, he’s still not that good especially now that he is older.
No, it's the Clip Show!
What the JailBlazers is going on here??????
JR Smith, Stephen Jackson.I’ve even seen someone say about Gilbert Arenas on here!!!
What next? Javaris Crittendon? Bonzi Wells? Ron Artest? Allen Iverson? DeMarcus Cousins?
Whoever posts these really should think of team chemistry.
There is a reason these people are often available – it’s because they are a pain in the arse and once they’ve had their settling in period, they become a problem in the locker room so the team want to ship them.
And with the 12th pick in the 2005 NBA draft, the LA Clippers pick Yaroslav "Dogs Dinner" Korolev
the thing is we have to balance Talent and Chemistry
as of right now…there are not enough Chemistry guys WITH Talent
and with CP3 (on the court) and Billups (in the lockerroom) we hope their influences can turn bad apples into good ones
so if the price is right, the risk might be worth it….(as far as free agency) there are not many talented players available…and the knucklehead issues are what are keeping these players available. its like a pick ur poison and hope for the best kind of thing
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
Talented players are always available
You’ve just got to find an offer the other team want. Whether it’s picks, expiring deals, role players or young talent, if you find the right mix, teams will listen to anything.
Our problem is other than picks, we don’t have much to offer.
Doesn’t mean it’s worth disrupting the locker room by introducing bad apples.
Sure we have some roster holes but so does everyone. What do u think happens to OKC if Westbrook or Durant get injured?

"other teams"
my comment was geared toward available free agents…..
i know we can do a hell of a lot better we if trade
i’ve commented before numerous times saying that we need to quit the JR talk and look into trading for that ideal player…i’m just explaining why people are saying those names (JR, Gil, etc.)
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
Sure, I understand what you are saying.
I was just pointing out that often you can pick up talented guys easily if they have suspect tempeaments. It’s because they are a higher risk of disrupting your locker room.
It’s for that reason I’d like to stay away from JR too.

SG
I still think we can get Ray Allen from the Celtics, they aren’t going anywhere. If we are going all in, then I’m sure they’ll take Bledsoe and Gomes for Allen?
It's Hip to be a Clip!
They already had Gomes and traded him.
"Cheikh Samb, the player who allowed us to emotionally move on from losing Keith Closs"
If he was bought out sure.
But that is a real bad contract and injuries have taken their toll.
