While Billups said he doesn’t view this stretch as a taste of what coaching would be like ("I still feel like a player helping out," he said) Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said he has seen enough to know that Billups could be an NBA coach someday. "No question about it. Yeah," Del Negro said. "He has a basketball mind. He sees things. Not all players have a feel for that. Chauncey has a way about him, his demeanor, his knowledge of the game and how he approaches players. But right now, his focus is the rehab."
