I was beyond baffled in Philly when Ryan Gomes was inserted to inbound the ball only to have CP3 bail out Vinny for that horrible move. I figured that would not happen ever again. Well I was at the game against the Spurs and he put Gomes in again who decided to pass to CP3 and we all know how that turned out. Now it is against the NJ I really did not understand why Mo Williams would be in the game on the final possession as he is about as bad as it gets as an on the ball and off the ball defender. To cap the horrible coaching with .02 of second left you would think that Vinny might put in one of the best tip artists and longest player with the best jumping ability DJ but nah he has Mo Williams and Randy in for a catch and shoot (although that is against league rules). Why not have both Blake and DJ go to the rim as decoys and have Eric Bledsoe follow the play for a tip in.
I just don't understand the logic on his decisions late in a game. Granted it drew up a nice play in Minnesota and at home against Dallas but not putting DJ in with .02 and Gomes in the game could cost the Clips the pacific.
I understand that if Blake made a free throws and Butler threw a pea in the ocean my point would be mute but my goodness I hope they do not resign Vinny for next year.
