Hey Clippers fans. Clips Nation and SOV have been blowing up over Blake's injury (sorry for adding another post). When Blake went down last night, my heart stopped, and hearing the Memphis boos did nothing to help. As it has already been iterated, there are competing reasons for what caused the boos. I think the fans booing Gasol's technical foul were completely justified, and those who booed Blake are classless beings. All in all, it is not fair to label an entire fan base as "classless" and other expletives.
But this shouldn't matter so much to us, as much as the fact that both CP and Blake are okay. VDN says they'll both be playing Friday (hopefully, he didn't jump the gun when saying this). Game 6 is on Friday, and we all need to show our support for the team, so we can finally get past this series filled with questionable plot lines(embellishing contact and "physicality" -- it's honestly all subjective), and move on to the Spurs.
If a Blake situation happens to one of the Grizzlies players at Staples Center (may the FSM forbid it), then let us all follow the standard that fellow citizens have set: Clippers fans will not boo and condone the booing of injured players. While we cannot ensure this will hold with bandwagon fans, those of us with respect for the sport and the players in it will not engage in such crude behavior.
CP and the other Clippers have been praising and thanking the energy of the crowd, so let's blow their socks off (not a hole in Blake's shoes) again with an even louder and energizing crowd again.
Let the Sea of Red rise again, and in the words of Tim Kempton, "Let's go Cliplets!"
