Clipper Fans - Let's Keep it Classy

I know it has been an exciting run and we can barely contain ourselves, however I've noticed on many occasions lately that this excitement has manifested itself in a not-so-positive way. There's nothing wrong with feeling good and posting awesome comments with your fellow fans on your own team blog, but I think it's crossing the line when members of our blog go on to other team blogs and post insulting comments (i.e. "trolling"). I also think it is a bit classless to insult other fans who come onto our blog looking for insight regarding the Clippers. I get it, sometimes the other fans come onto our blog and do some trolling themselves. Personally, I'd encourage you not to "feed the trolls" and reinforce their behavior by responding. Nothing comes out of it other than personal insults and ultimately making our fan base look like uneducated hateful homers (sound familiar?).

I'd like to think that the members of Clipper Nation are a well regarded bunch. Over the years there have been some great times here and on other blogs, regardless of how well the Clippers played (not well at all). Level headed discussions regarding not only the players on our team, but players on other teams as well. Great trade ideas tossed around. Excellent salary cap insight. Great insight in general. We were an educated and classy bunch of not just Clipper fans, but BASKETBALL fans.

I recognize that things change with winning, we get carried away, more casual fans jump on board and more haters pop up. Despite all this, I hope we can do our best to retain what we had going on here at ClipsNation by doing what's within our control, be responsible for yourself and stay classy. Respect the game.

Just a reminder before we go into the San Antonio series. Fans of that team are a good bunch and hopefully we can remain on good terms.
