Even if the Clippers
were healthy, most experts are saying that the Spurs
would dominate. Moreso, with the Clippers mostly injured and could only be 75% to 80% efficient. The Spurs are injury free and well rested. They have been the most disciplined, efficient and well coached team. They are one of the favorites (OKC and Miami are the two others) to win it all. Add to that their experience in playoff games and the Clippers qualification don't even come close. Granted that the Clippers played good games in the regular season and were competitive, but they were 100% during those games and fought really hard to stay close with the Spurs. Man for man the Spurs are much better than the Clippers...that include the coach and the bench.
So is it a foregone conclusion that the Clippers have no chance against the Spurs? Will they even win one game to make this series interesting?
There's no way predicting what the Clippers will do and how they will fare. The only given is that they will play hard, play tough and play with all their might and all their hearts to be competitive in this next level. We all witnessed how they miraculously have beaten the Grizzlies
in 7 and now we are converted and all believers. We have snatched the title "the grind and the grit" from the Grizzlies. If we could learn from last year's games on how the Grizzlies overtook the Spurs using their "grind and grit" style of basketball which we have learned, I say our chances in making this series really interesting than the Grizllies series and our chances of winning would be much better. This series between the "predictable and the "unpredictable" will be an entertaining one.
Still believing that the Clippers win!!!
