I'm over Neil Oshley, let's look at the future

NfO presser with Portland was alike his pressers with us. Very smooth and non-committal. Apparently Poetland is the place where he always wanted to be, ever since Dunleavy told him magical stories about it.

Seriously, DTS didn't handle that all to well but in retrospect NfO really had his sights on the Portland job for some time. DTS just made it easy for him to "escape" the organisation. Neither Eric Pincus nor Ramona Shelburne seem to think that extending VDN was the tipping point for NfO.

That being said: where do we go from here?

I don't think any serious GM-search will yield results before the draft. Luckily we only have a 54th pick and getting clever with Bledsoe for a pick doesn't look like a solid plan for the moment. VDN and NfO had the same idea about the needs for this team (stretch 4 + big SG with 3 point range) so I'm guessing whatever homework NfO did will be still useful going forward.
