No team or fan base ever wants to see its star player get hurt but is this as bad as it seems?? A "relatively" minor knee op with an excellent chance for full recovery 3 months out from pre-season training isn't too bad, especially considering what could have gone down!!! (ACL/MCL, Injured in olympics or in preseason). Let's look at the positives, BG is about to get some serious rest which, to be honest, he really needs after playing a TON of minutes in what could have been the most physically demanding season of the NBA ever? As part of his rehab, he will also be forced to shoot LOTS of free throws, rather than practicing all those "off the wall" dunks he was doing last week. He gets to learn a bit more about his body and how best to take care of it. Yes he will miss an awesome experience and a chance to learn from some of the games greats, but I still don't think this is such a bad thing in the end. He will get other opportunties sooner rather than later. Speedy recovery big fella!
