Could it possible be? I'd trade him for a one year rental of DJ, Butler and Bledsoe...

There is a team in LA that might have a shot at landing and keeping Dwight Howard… and its not the Lakers.
As was covered in the NBA AM this morning…. The LA Clippers have emerged as "a real and viable suitor" according to sources with knowledge of the Magic’s initial conversations with teams regarding Howard. New Magic GM Rob Hennigan is playing this process close to the vest, but there is a real sense that if Howard genuinely can’t be sent to the Brooklyn Nets, that a move to Clippers with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin might sway him to expand his list of teams he’d look at long-term. Howard has been adamant that Brooklyn is the only team he’d agree to a long-term agreement with, however sources say that Howard may have to warm up to the idea that its not going to happen.
Sources close to the process say the Clippers are in the game, but they would want some level of assurances that Howard would consider staying long-term before they would part with guys they like. Clipper big man DeAndre Jordan, point guard Eric Bledsoe and guard Caron Butler have been mentioned, however sources say that no one is really talking specific names at this point as all parties are trying to judge what the market really is especially with Howard still recovering from back surgery.
Its clear that a number of teams have interest in Howard, even as a rental player for one year, however its unclear exactly how much a team will offer for Howard given his stance on a long term deal.
