Craig Smith and his agent tried and tried and tried to get a contract with a Euroleague team. They were not able to. Not a single Euroleague team would sign him, because none were interested in him.
So he had to sign with a POS club that plays in the Israeli League.
Meanwhile, Sofoklis Schortsanitis only plays in the biggest Euroleague clubs, like Olympiacos, Maccabi, Panathinaikos.
For all the people here in this site that kept claiming that, "Craig Smith is better than Sofoklis Schortsanitis", this message goes out to you.
Craig Smith could not even get a contract with a Euroleague team, because no Euroleague teams thought he was good enough to play for them. Schortsanitis, by contrast, was named the best center in Euroleague in 2011, a league that Smith could not even earn a contract in.
Consider yourselves owned.
