Today's FanPost from Citizen GermanClipper has spawned a lot of discussion, so I thought I'd bump it up to get it more exposure. Steve
Like a lot of people on here, my favourite Clips player is Eric Bledsoe. And the whole season and the last two games especially I've been asking myself the questions,... what to do with that man? He's too good for his current role! He's already outgrown it. So what to do with him? A lot of people seem to be in favour of using him to get rid of Caron Butlers unfavourable contract... but I don't know if it's worth it. Guys like Bledsoe, Darren Collison, George Hill, Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic... PGs who are too good to be backup PGs, you rarely get anything worth it for these guys. There are also very few teams that don't already have a good PG or at least already have too much money invested in the PG position, as it is. So far I can only see Atlanta, Dallas, Sacramento, Utah and maybe Milwaukee and New Orleans as teams who would be interested (depending on how the Brandon Jennings situation turns out and Greivis Vasquez is actually looking quite good, so... New Orleans might be unlikely). I think it's safe to say that the Clips keep him for the season, because he seems to be quite integral for the success of the team. On the one hand you want your favourite player to be happy, but on the other you want him on your favourite team. Which leads to the question: can't we make it so that he's happy on our favourite team? The Celtics want to keep Avery Bradley... why can't we try to keep Bledsoe? Does it even make sense to keep him? I mean we're not going to resign Chauncey Billups, right? With all the respect in the world for the man... he's injured far too much and at this point in his career is probably better suited for the coaching staff. And Chris Paul needs a good backup, always has. So, what do you think about that conundrum? I really wanna know. Thanks in advance for your responses and your time.
