Coach Del Negro has never had a team as deep or talented as the one he coaches this season, with that being said he needs to win now! Anything short of a trip to the finals with a healthy squad would be an underachieving season for this years Clippers team, and that is something that is hard to fathom in Clipper nation. But it is the honest truth with the talent that we have this year, barring a major injury the Clippers have the pieces they need to beat any team in a seven game series. All they need is better than adverage coaching, with the leadership they have on the court and in the locker room and unselfish attitudes among their current players they have the ingredients of past championship teams! All we need now is for our current coaching staff to take a more proactive approach to their style, by making a couple of players play in the position to make their game more efficient and their teammates better. Odom needs to get more touches on the block specially when Blake & DJ are out the game. We all want to see L.O back to the level he was playing at when he helped lead the Lakers pass the Magic in the finals. With his newly gained muscle mass I think he is more well suited now to make opposing bigs pay when they guard him. He can still handle the ball and with his ability to pass he will also be able to make other teams pay when they have to double him on the block. L.O's basketball iq is still one of his best strengths and with that being said most back-up bigs don't have his skill set or ability to see the game as he does. We need or coaches to also take away the advantages of other teams we face by matching up with those teams with bigger off guards. We need or coaches to be more like the nfl coaches by adopting plays and schemes that other teams use to confuse and frustrate opponents. We need or coach to make certain players play the way he needs or wants them to play and if they can't abide by his standards we need him to make the decision to have those veteran players on the bench with him.
