Just had a thought

If this series loss leads to us making serious changes to improve our roster and coach squad without squandering our chance of re-signing CP3 are we seriously that worse off?

I love to see the Clips win as much as the next guy. I still have dreams at night of being within a single shot of the Western Finals and wonder what might have been.

But, the odds of the Clippers making a serious run at this thing were small and maybe losing this way and prompting big changes was better than eeking past Memphis, getting past OKC because they were missing their second best player and potentially forcing the front office to Keep Vinny and/or not significantly change the roster in the hopes that "we were almost there".

I'm a believer in every team needs that defining moment they were hit in the mouth. Sure, some people might say that was the sweep against the Spurs last year. But, after the 7 game series with Memphis it sort of seemed we were all happy just to be there. Seems like all the big teams have had to fail at least once when the light shined brightest on them.

Maybe this is our moment. One can only hope everyone in the organization takes this to heart if we lose in Memphis tomorrow and is back in the gym/office fixing their games/roster.
