First time poster, so my bad if this has already been discussed. Do you understand what even a 37 year old KG brings to the table? Having the privilege of watching Garnett in green this guy changes a locker room. He's a guy who is still going to dive on the floor in a blowout game in February vs. Toronto. This guy still has a year or two left of good basketball in him.
If you have the chance to get Pierce who broke down this year in the playoffs due to the amount of minutes he played, he's another difference maker. Another great locker room guy, yet at 34 years old he still put up 19 a game.
You put these two on the Clippers you are instant contenders next year. Not many teams get chances to be contenders and that window is only going to be open for so long. Bringing Doc, KG, Pierce to team up with CP and Blake you have a chance to win a championship. I don't understand how you could even think twice about giving up D. Jordan a 26 year old above average center and two number 1s that probably are going to be in the mid 20s. As a Celtic fan I really wish we could get more, but I understand the situation. Personally I'd rather these guys stay in Boston and retire in green. Again I just don't understand how your owner/GM could get an offer like Doc, KG, and potentially Pierce for Jordan and a couple late round picks and balk at the offer.
Granted regardless Clips are a fun team to watch, but you add these pieces you're an instant contender. You keep the roster as is, and make smaller moves I can't blame Chris for not being to excited about playing for a team that will be bounced in first or second round for the next four years.
