Looking at the big picture, this whole tabloid-journalism thing smells like a certain sister-in-law may have been knee-deep in fanning up the flames, from a distance of course.
Think about it. Whenever our Ms. Special-K was even indirectly involved with controversy, she simply cashed in.
Being relevant is a 24/7 job and IMO she's one of the best at spinning her brand. After all, the track record didn't start with that armature internet porn, and it certainly didn't end with Kris Humphrey getting his man-card publicly dined on by the wolf! Wife? Wife-wolf? Wolf-wife?
Through all of these controversies, there was always that TV show lurking, just far enough away from ground zero. It brings in lots of insane money when the ratings go up, and merely crazy money when the ratings get, so-so.
For Odom, the pathetic part about his association, is that he gets all of the bad pub and he can't refute it, cause it's probably true; Also, if he doesn't get his shit together, then he stands to lose his remaining career, his wife, and most importantly, even his life. But that TV show and its band of tabloids keep rolling along...
As for our Ms. Special-K, it's her brand, and her job is to grow it. BFD, if she gets away with doing "things" and still comes out richer and more relevant on the other side. She's a professional diva dammit! She knows exactly where she's going and exactly how to get there. Lamar Odom, like everybody else is simply trying (perhaps too hard) to keep up.
