A new Clippers era will begin soon. We are all aware of the positive strides the club has taken both on the court and in the front office.
Truth be told, Elton screwed the Clippers and ran to Philadelphia after committing to Mike Dunleavy all those years ago. And we've talked at length about how it turned out well in the long run that Elton didn't stay. However those were some really bad feelings he stirred up. I can't remember being more upset at a sports figure in my lifetime than when Elton left the Clippers. I've often booed him at games but my hate and contempt for him has faded over the years.
It's time for the new management to make the Clippers history relevant. They should start recognizing some of the old players and accomplishments that Mr Sterling didn't seem to care for. I only started watching the Clippers in the late 90's, but why not retire some numbers of players that Ralph and Mike are always talking about?
Why not put up ONE banner with Pacific Division champions and the years they've won it (it's going to get up to 3 this year)?
Bring Elton back, he can be our 5th big. He can help. He's better than Ryan Hollins. He can redeem himself. We can get over his betrayal and stop calling him FElton. And eventually, his jersey can be retired as well.
