An Open Email to L. A.'s latest (All Sports) Radio Station, KFWB 980

For a long time, I thought that the Clippers needed a dedicated radio voice on an all-sports station. After sampling the new format at KFWB 980, AN INTERVENTION IS CLEARLY NEEDED!

I just sent an email to them at: kfwbcomments@kfwb.com:

Dear KFWB, congratulations for going all sports. Now you really need a show with a (LOCAL) personality!

Now that your station has changed to an all sports format, if you want me to listen beyond Clipper broadcasts, you will definitely need at least one local show (ideally following Jim Rome) to go up against the other stations. A good example is that you were extremely tardy on the Clippers trade with Milwaukee, as well as the lakers and their latest signing. This is probably trivial to the creators of your (national) format. If so, my point is made...

I nominate someone like Steve Perrin from Clipsnation.com, not only because I enjoy the website, but he also has podcast experience (FYI). Other than that, I have no affiliation with Steve or anyone else.
Frankly, another national-based sports show, with no local affiliation, is a non-starter with me and many other local fans. We simply won't give a damn about you if that's the direction you taking.

Clippers, Dodgers, Angels, Kings, Ducks, and err, Lakers? What the hell is wrong with a LOCAL radio show? Please explain.

Sincerely,

Gary M.

OK Clipsnation, lets make our voices heard! Send a comment to: kfwbcomments@kfwb.com.
