As if the Suns needed more offensive talent, Rose decided to sign with them.

Truthfully, I don't think he helps them that much. He is yet another tough matchup, but they already have so many, he's basically on the floor replacing someone who was already a tougher matchup. If you play him for Bell, then it's 5 crazy matchups on offense. But Rose is another poor defender, and they get even worse on the other end with him in.

It should be entertaining. If he makes a high percentage of his threes, it's just more trouble for the rest of the NBA.

The signing

I like this move, actually. Last year, Raja Bell and Shawn Marion played 40 and 35 minutes a game, respectively, and while the Marcus Banks signing means we'll see more of a Nash/Banks-Barbosa backcourt, the Suns still could use a guy to give Bell and Marion more rest. Rose is a tough matchup and it's not like his lack of defense will matter much.

Good move overall by Phoenix, if you ask me.

Good Points....

It certainly makes them deeper, which they were not last year. It lets them keep those monster minutes down, and gives them injury options. It's better than Eric Piatkowski. But... Jalen's not part of the lineup that scares me the most.
