Livingston Update

Just a quick post -

If you haven't already, read Jason Reid in the LA Times and Art Thompson III in the OC Register for updates on the extent of the injury and the prognosis.  I saw an AP story yesterday that said 8 to 12 months, but it seems like no one is willing to be that optimistic at this point.  Sounds more like 12 months minimum until the knee is strong enough for basketball related activities, which of course means a lot longer than 12 months to get back into basketball shape.

I couldn't reember a case of three ligaments being torn, but Jason Reid gave Willis McGahee as an example of someone who had this injury and then came back to play at a top level, so that's encouraging.  It's absolutely unbelievable that there was this much damage on a play where he wasn't touched - where he just landed awkwardly.

Please take the time to leave a comment for Shaun on the 'Get Well' post.

The elephant in the room on all of this of course is Shaun's contract.  No one wants to talk about it so soon after the injury, but it's a major issue.  He will likely miss the majority, if not all of the final season of his rookie deal, and become a restricted free agent with three injury plagued years of experience, and about 18 months of inactivity.  So what do the Clippers do?
