The injuries keep coming, even to the guys we thought were healthy.
I just got this press release from the Clippers title "Brevin Knight Injury Update":
In 28 games played this season, Knight has averaged 5.1 points, 4.6 assists and 23.4 minutes per game.
It's a wait and see type of injury. Sometimes guys play through and then have off-season surgery. Sometimes it gets worse and they have to shut it down. We'll see. I'm assuming that the team knew about this (or at least knew about the MRI which obviously happened for a reason) before they waived Frahm. If they had any thought of hanging on to Frahm, it became an impossibility when one of their injury-prone point guards pulled up lame again.
By the way, Brevin's recent play in which he's had 43 assists to one turnover in his last 10 games got him a little recognition on TrueHoop today. He's also making his mid-range jumper with some consistency now (as Ralph and Mike have been pointing out) and is in fact shooting over 50% for the last 8 games, something that cannot be said of very many Clippers.
