Vacation Coverage on Clips Nation

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help out writing recaps while I'm relaxing with the family over the holidays.  Below is the schedule.  If you've been assigned to a game, please leave a comment on this thread letting me know that you are aware of your responsibility and that you're still up for it.

Let me also say that I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.  We had more volunteers than we needed, which is great, and I used a combination of factors to decide the assignments.  A guy like Citizen moKi, who has already taken it upon himself to write his own recaps for most of the games this season, has earned a spot.  A guy like Citizen Jax, who has been around forever has likewise earned the chance, even if I don't always see eye to eye with him.  So I used various considerations in making the assignment, including purely logistical considerations like who has League Pass and what games fit in someone's schedule.  If you didn't get the call, don't feel bad.  Be ready the next time the coach needs you.  (OK, that sounds stupid, but you get the idea.)

Here's the schedule.  Lots of strange start times, so pay attention.  Not a 7:30 tip in the bunch.

  • Sunday, Dec. 28, 12:30 PM - Dallas - Citizen ghost_ride
  • Tuesday, Dec. 30, 7:00 PM - @ Sacramento - Citizen moKi
  • Wednesday, Dec. 31, 6:30 PM - Philadelphia - Citizen supac
  • Friday, Jan. 2, 6:00 PM - @ Phoenix - Citizen Jax
  • Sunday, Jan. 4, 12:30 PM - Detroit - Citizen bestclipfan

So your job, Citizens, is to write a game recap at the conclusion of the game.  Post in the FanPost section, and Mikey will move it to the front page when he gets a chance.  There's no deadline, per se, but in a perfect world it would be done the same day, especially with all of these relatively early tip times.  (I think everyone would understand if the Philly recap waited until the next day, given that it's New Year's Eve, but then again who wants to write with a hangover?)  There are no guidelines other than to be relatively professional.  Feel free to bring your own style to the recap - that's one of the really fun aspects of having guest bloggers.

Of course, anyone can write a FanPost any time they choose and I hope the community stays as lively as ever in my absence. But we're counting on you five to provide these specific recaps.

Citizen Mikey P is in charge while I'm gone.  Thanks again to everyone who volunteered.
