It's Crazy Out There

I feel like I should write something, but I can't even keep up with all the information.  Yao Ming didn't opt out, so he's not in play as I assumed.  Dirk did opt out, so he's theoretically in play, but not really.  The Nets traded Yi Jianlin to Washington for our old pal Quinton Ross, so they're trying to join the 'two max' club (I have them at almost $31M, about a half a million more than the Bulls, but  not actually enough for two max deals).  Someone linked Pierce to LAC, which is logical for a few reasons (he's small forward, he's from LA, etc.) but is probably just a leverage play, as it's hard to imagine Pierce leaving the only franchise he's ever played for to sign a contract with the Clippers.  And of course there's the "LeBron James and Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh had a meeting" mega-story, which is mostly just annoying.  (By the way, if teams aren't allowed to collude, why are players allowed to?  Does this need to be addressed in the next CBA?)

What's a blogger or citizen of Clips Nation to do?  Well, keep doing what you're doing.  Find those rumors, link them up in the FanShots, and we can discuss them here.

And don't forget that we can discuss all of this face-to-face tonight in Hollywood at the SBNation Los Angeles launch party.  Here are the details again.

I'd really love to see a big bunch of Clippers fans there.  I'll be wearing my San Diego Clippers T-shirt.

(By the way, check your local Old Navy - I saw this T-shirt on sale for like $7 there this weekend.  It's pretty sweet.)
