Apropos to nothing about free agency...

I was thinking today that Blake Griffin is really funny. He's probably one of the funniest guys in the NBA. He may be one of the funniest guys in the history of the NBA.

Which begs the question, who else would be in the discussion? I mean, we'd need some sort of specific examples of players being funny. So I'm asking you guys to help me compile a list. What funny things have you seen NBA players doing?

Here's the list I have so far:

  • Steve Nash - Some serious competition for sure. From his Vitamin Water commercials, to the evil genius chipped tooth interview, to the Baron Davis step brothers thing, this dude is seriously funny. He probably makes Blake the second funniest NBA player for now.
  • Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - OK, so really Kareem is probably one of the least funny people in the world. BUT, he did have a role in one of the funniest movies of all time, so he gets a spot on the list. "We have clearance, Clarence." "Roger, Roger. What's our vector Victor?"
  • Kobe Bryant - Again, a pretty serious dude in general. But he did a good job in his cameo on Modern Family. "A little preparation next time. It's a mental game."
  • Shaquille O'Neal - I don't have a lot of specific examples for Shaq, but the dude's pretty funny.
  • Michael Jordan and/or any of the other dudes in Space Jam. I haven't seen Space Jam in many, many years, but i don't remember any of the NBA guys who appeared in it being any good at all. Jordan always had a decent presence on camera - he does fine in commercials and what not. But he is never particularly funny, IMHO. Any thoughts on this group? Shaun Bradley, anyone?
  • Charles Barkley - OK, Barkley is funny, though I'm not sure he's always trying to be. He's certainly engaging on TNT. And who can forget Chuck vs. Barney?

All right, that's the list I have so far. Help me out people. What other NBA players have tried their hand at comedy over the years? Did anyone watch LeBron on Saturday Night Live? There were probably other stars that have hosted, right? Can anyone name others? What about movie roles, TV cameos, funny commercials?

What have you got?
