Neil Olshey will not return to be the General Manager of the Los Angeles Clippers. He is expected to take over in Portland for the Trail Blazers.

After announcing that they had reached an agreement in principle on Friday afternoon, the Los Angeles Clippers and General Manager Neil Olshey mutually agreed to end discussions regarding Olshey's future Monday afternoon. Olshey is expected to take over as the GM of the Portland Trail Blazers.

This raises a lot of questions for the Clippers moving forwards. They now enter the off-season without a GM. This means that the coach will be making the decisions regarding personnel- the same Vinny Del Negro who is ever sitting on the hot seat. The Clippers' first move ought to be to find a new GM- someone capable and experienced who understands the NBA landscape and this team's direction- to take over long-term and steer the ship this off-season.

Most importantly, whomever the club brings in to run the front office must be able to form a good relationship with NBA All-Stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, both of whom need to be convinced to sign extensions after the 2013 season.

More coming from Steve later on.
