The Daily Clipper – The-Search-Is-On (?) Edition

I shouldn't be surprised. Being a long time Clippers fan, the events over the weekend should not linger like a bitter fruit. But they do. How could a "professional" nba organization employ a high quality GM on a month-to-month basis? How does the rest the FO not realize the value in having a leader with a vision for the organization and keeping that plan going by getting him to sign a long term agreement? I don't fault Olshey for using the Clippers to leverage a better/same deal with the Blazers. A last "screw you Sterling!" for not paying/signing the man up early on. Good for him.
So the question is, will the team search for a new GM? The had a top tier GM on the cheap, do we really think DTS will pay up for another top tier GM? I am with DJ Foster on this, this team will use the 3-header-monster that is Roeser, VDN and Sacks to screw things up going forward. DTS will save some coin...
