The LA Times: Clips Didn't Come Close to Portland Offer...

I guess we're all pretty sick of it, but according to Brad Turner in an article in the LA Times, the Clippers offered Neil Olshey a one year deal for $750,000. When the Portland Trail Blazers came up with three years at #3.6 million, it was pretty much a no-brainer.

According to Turner, anyway, it sounds like the Clips didn't try and match at all. I don't know how anyone else is gonna interpret this, but for an NBA GM, 750 grand is short money and a one year deal simply isn't going to get it done.

Turner also has team President Andy Roeser meeting with agent Warren LeGarie in Chicago this week. LeGarie reps Kiki Vandeweghe among others. Turner also mentions Pacers GM David Morway, former Lakers assistant GM Ronnie Lester, Warriors assistant GM Travis Schlenk, Pistons assistant GM Scott Perry and former Timberwolves assistant GM Tony Ronzone as potential candidates, along with Clips director of player personnel, Gary Sacks.

Which one's cheapest?
