Hi. How are you? I am fine.
For the vast majority of July, I have been gallivanting. I enjoy the gallivanting -- I'm a big time gallivanter. I spent the Fourth of July in Santa Barbara, and then headed out to Las Vegas for some debauchery (a less noble form of gallivanting) and NBA Summer League. From there it was a short hop to Zion National Park and my formerly yearly canyoneering trip (which I haven't actually done for several years).
Long time readers know that from time to time I enjoy stretching my writing legs a bit by venturing out of the realm of basketball. This is one of those times. After three full days in Zion and two very long canyonering days, I'm taking the day off today to write. Depending on many factors, this will be a series of two or more posts detailing my adventures here. If you're not interested in this stuff and only want to read about the Clippers, that's fine, don't read these posts. For those of you that are interested, I hope I can do justice to the last couple of days.
First up, we arrive in Utah and I realize that I should have trained harder (or at all) for the trip.
