As you may have seen on Twitter or elsewhere already, one of SBNation's NBA bloggers, Tim Allen, passed away a couple of days ago.
This news comes as a shock to the entire SBNation community, myself included. Tim was one of the lead bloggers at the outstanding Timberwolves blog, Canis Hoopus (one of my favorite blog names, by the way). I never met Tim face-to-face, but through email exchanges, and especially through the blogger question and answer sessions I like to do when previewing Clipper opponents, I developed a working relationship with him. He was incredibly insightful about his team, a fan who understood the nuances of the game, and a sharp, entertaining and really funny writer.

Please join me in wishing the best to Tim's family and friends in this incredibly difficult time. It is times like these that force us to realize there are things more important, much more important, than basketball. We will all miss Tim.
