The Clippers are reportedly making a push for Kevin Garnett.

According to Sean Deveney of Sporting News (Aol.com), the Clippers are trying to acquire Boston PF/C Kevin Garnett. Deveney says that the package discussed is Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler for Garnett.

Previous speculation had involved a possible DeAndre Jordan for Garnett swap.

The inclusion of any draft picks is uncertain at this time.

Garnett also has a no-trade clause, meaning that he would have to accept any potential trade before he could come to Los Angeles. The future Hall-of-Famer is 36 years old, meaning that he could retire as soon as the end of this season. If he plays the 2014 season, he would make 12.4 million.

While he is best known for his defensive impact, Garnett's mid-range shooting would bring a new dimension to the Clippers' offense. He's already at almost 48% from 10-23 feet on the season. This would open up space for Blake Griffin inside. Currently the Clippers lack a jumpshooting big man to pair with Griffin as both Jordan and Lamar Odom lack jumpshooting range this season.

The NBA trading deadline is February 21st. Expect rumors to start flying in the next two and a half weeks.
