The Clippers have their third summer league game today against the Lakers. Both teams are 1-1 in summer league so far. I don't have to tell you how crucial this game is. (Because it's not.)
The Clippers have been led in scoring in both of their games by rookie wing Reggie Bullock, whom they drafted with the 25th pick last month. Bullock has scored 18 points in each of the first two games. DaJuan Summers and Samardo Samuels have provided the rest of the punch.
The Lakers, per usual, don't have much happening on the summer league front. Robert Sacre is here, but other than him it's unclear if any of these players will make the regular season squad. If you're a fan of West Coast college basketball, the Lakers squad may hold some interest for you. D.J. Seely of Cal State Fullerton and Drew Viney of Loyola Marymount are both on the roster, as is Sacre's former Gonzaga teammate Elias Harris.
Both fan bases are well represented here in Las Vegas, so there could be some pretty good people watching in the stands today.
The game starts at 5 PM on both NBA-TV and Prime Ticket. I'll be courtside, tweeting and commenting.
