Picked this up off instagram earlier today. My friend Jack Coghlan (12 years old, fellow clipper fan) got dropped off by his summer camp bus at a gas station on Sepulveda and was waiting for his ride (his mom, running a couple of minutes late). Jack's representin' (Jack's always representin') wearing his Clipper shirt, and this guy walks up to him and says, "Nice shirt, man." and Jack looks up (and up and up) and it's Blake Griffin. Someone grabbed a camera and big Blake got to have his picture taken with Jack.
I guess I'm a sucker for stuff like this but is Blake the coolest or what?
Of course i've got a million questions: This particular gas station is only a mile or so from Chris Paul's house; was Blake spending time with the point god? Or maybe he was taking in some serious art and architecture at the magnificent nearby Getty Center? Or maybe he was just gassin,' up the Kia on his way down the 405 to the practice facility and he had a hankerin' for some Slim Jims and a Slushee. (Anyone else might have picked up a couple of Powerball tickets, but I don't think Blake feels the need, know what I mean?)
Eh, I'll try and remember to ask Jack.
Blake Griffin's big, handsome, funny, an awesome basketball player, and apparently a nice guy. What's not to like?
