Hello and welcome to another edition of the Daily Clipper. He is what I have for you today!
Ballmer was most excited when talking about his new job as owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. The opening game of the season was a lot like a product launch, he said – you have no control over the outcome. "You can tune it, you can tweak it, you can worry about it," he said, but that doesn’t mean it will be successful.
The Los Angeles Clippers are calling DeAndre Jordan's name, and he hasn't responded, yet. The man who finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting a season ago was supposed to make another leap during his second year under coach Doc Rivers. But so far, DJ has actually regressed following his breakout season.
What a few NBA "experts" have to say on what's happening to the Clippers and how if it's too early to push the panic button.
Clippers forward Blake Griffin has been charged with one count of misdemeanor battery in connection with an incident last month at a Las Vegas nightclub. The case was filed Nov. 5 in Las Vegas Justice Court and alleges Griffin squeezed the hand and shoulder and/or slapped Daniel Schuman, 39, in the face. The altercation in the early morning of Oct. 19 involved the use of a camera at Tao nightclub in the Venetian resort, a Las Vegas police spokesman said.
Well, it's ugly, it's awful, but at least it's official.
Just a few harsh words that Bill Plaschke from the LA Times on what the Clippers have been this season. As with the other NBA article in this post, I feel that it is still far too early to be pushing any sort of panic button and his words, well, I hope he eats them.
Well, that's about it for today. I know it seemed a bit short, but there wasn't a lot regarding our Clippers besides everyone going mad over Blake Griffin and his back hand.
As always I leave you a question(s): What do you think of Bill Plaschke and his choice words? How do you feel about the Clippers, any kind of panic button needed?
