It's seemed likely for some time that the Clippers would end up facing off against the Warriors in the first round. It's fitting, really. These teams seem to legitimately despise each other more than any other opponents they face, and it has shown on the court, with numerous technical and flagrant fouls. Also, everyone loves the Northern vs Southern California narrative, and it's echoed in the NHL playoff series between the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks.
