The Los Angeles Clippers were in China this past week and played the Charlotte Hornets in a couple of games as part of the NBA's Global Games initiative that aims to bring NBA games abroad to the international fans. While there, JJ Redick found time to sit and chat with Sports Illustrated in an interview.
Aside from pointing out the highlights of his trip to China (which if you haven't visited, has plenty of things worth visiting all over its vast lands), Redick talked about the Clippers' upcoming season.
For the off-season, Redick revised his original grade of an "F" in light of DeAndre Jordan's reversal during free agency, saying that:
I mean, we had no cap space, and we re-signed our best player that was a free agent, and we picked up Paul Pierce, Josh Smith, traded for Lance [Stephenson], Wes Johnson, and Pablo Prigioni. We have 13 rotation players, so it's definitely an A."
Definitely check out the rest of the interview as it highlights in more detail the thoughts of Redick about Blake Griffin, how Doc Rivers helps DJ develop, and even the aftermath of the Clippers' semi-final collapse against the Houston Rockets.
