Banners
Yes, I know. The Clippers have been covering up the Lakers championship banners for a couple seasons already. But, in addition to covering up their basketball neighbors historic achievements, they have decided to cover up another banner at Staples Center.
Taylor Swift, the young country star who recently became more of a pop icon, was recently awarded a Staples Center banner, to be hung from the rafters, for her record 16 consecutive sell outs at the venue. At a recent concert at Staples, Lakers star Kobe Bryant came on stage to present the honor to Swift.
But at the teams first home preseason game, the banner was nowhere to be found.

The New Court

We have discussed it numerous times here at Clips Nation. But Friday was the first time we got to see the new court design in action. Here are some thoughts from Twitter:
The Clippers’ court is fine except for the center court logo, which is awful. The jerseys are indefensible.

I thought the Clippers' court design was okay until I'm seeing it now. Just seems weird. Don't get me started on the front of the jerseys.

The Clippers court design looks like what you'd do in an old video game that only allowed solid colors and had limited fonts.

Weird thing about Clippers new court is there's no secondary logo on it anywhere.

I cant believe an NBA team is allowed to have as ugly of a court and uniforms as the Clippers

The Sterling Seats
Shelly Sterling. To some, she is a hero; the one who facilitated the sale of the Clippers to Steve Ballmer. To others, she is a villain, playing just as big a part of the Donald Sterling era as DTS himself. When Shelly facilitated the sale of the team to Steve Ballmer, one of her conditions was that she would be the official "# 1 Fan". Sorry Clipper Darrell. It seems that Ballmer has lived up to the promise, and has even put Shelly Sterling's name on the sideline, two times:
