Is it time for another Clips Nation Night?

A last minute opening in the schedule presents an opportunity for a Clips Nation Night with court time on March 4 after the Portland game. Who's in?

It's become something of a tradition, but one that gets a little tougher to maintain with each passing season. For at least five years now we've planned a group event at a Los Angeles Clippers game, the highlight of which has been court time on the STAPLES Center floor after the game. But as the popularity of the team has increased, these special nights have become more difficult to schedule.

Luckily for us, because of our history with the group ticketing department, our strong relationship with them, and our unique ability to mobilize the citizenry quickly, when last minute opportunities arise they will often call me to offer the date. And that's what happened today.

The March 4th game against Portland has become available on the post-game court time schedule. If we as a community want to grab that date, including some super-fun basketball on the self-same court where our favorite team plays, we need to act quickly. Assuming we can hit a relatively modest guarantee on ticket sales, the date is ours.

But I need to gauge interest right away so I can make a decision. After all, March 4th is less than two weeks away. The good news is that it's an important game against a quality opponent -- the bad news is that it's a Wednesday night, which could make work/school Thursday morning a bit tougher after hanging out at STAPLES until almost midnight.

So let me know in the comments if you would be in for a Clips Nation Night at STAPLES on March 4th. This is happening so quickly that I don't even know what the ticket prices are, but they usually range from $50 to $150 or so, and we will get a decent deal, without service fees. Let me know how many tickets you would be up for, and we'll see if we have enough go ahead and reserve the court.
