Las Vegas prosecutors have dropped a misdemeanor charge against Blake Griffin, citing lack of evidence in the case.
Griffin's accuser, Daniel Schuman of West Hollywood, told police that Griffin slapped him and grabbed his cell phone at a nightclub in Las Vegas while the Clippers were attending training camp in October. He was initially charged with misdemeanor battery, but as Griffin's attorney predicted, the case didn't hold enough water to go to trial.
Griffin initially faced up to six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. He was never required to appear in court.
