According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Tyson Chandler, the free agent rim protecting center from Dallas, will sign with the Phoenix Suns. Chandler was considered a prime sign-and-trade target if DeAndre Jordan chose to leave the Clippers for Dallas. Now, the likelihood of a sign-and-trade should Jordan depart Los Angeles is incredibly unlikely.

The Clippers' best fall-back scenario should Jordan depart is now gone, and they need to hope that they can keep him.
Brandan Wright, who the Clippers have also registered interest with, played with Phoenix last year and they will have had to renounce him in order to sign Chandler. Wright now becomes the likely consolation for whomever between the Clippers and the Mavericks do not sign DeAndre Jordan.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Chandler's new deal is worth $52 million over 4 years, which is likely a bigger deal than the Clippers would have liked to give the 32-year-old.
