According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com, the Clippers' All-NBA big man will attend the Team USA minicamp next month in hopes of playing in the 2016 Olympics as a part of Team USA. He's had to sit out of international competition twice due to injury, including in 2012 when he made the Olympic team, but tore his meniscus and was replaced by New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis. The report indicates that the Warriors are sending four players: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, and Draymond Green (Barnes and Green? Really?).
Any player that wishes to attempt to make the Olympic team next summer must attend this camp, so it will be interesting to see if Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan find themselves in Las Vegas next month.
