While doing his own part in a historic exhibition game in Africa, Chris Paul made more world basketball news with a quick tidbit from ESPN's Marc Stein:

Paul of course played a role in the 2008 "Redeem Team" in the Beijing Olympics as well as the 2012 London Olympics, with both American teams bringing back the gold after a string of disappointing world performances before them. Paul was the featured point guard in what was even then considered to be a loaded position, and now that position has become even more crowded. I've got a hunch the point god won't have a problem making the team, though the minute distribution might be an interesting debate.
